The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use. For our location in Berlin (Office), Germany, we are looking for a Sales Manager Germany South-West, Enterprise (m/f/d) Location: Germany; Central & South-West (pref. Frankfurt area), fully remote Objectives: Maximize sales and margin for all assigned Corning Optical Communicationsu2019 products to the Enterprise Network market, primarily in the US Federal business in Germany, but also for other accounts in the allocated region, in both LAN- and datacenter applications. Generate leads and identify new opportunities, positioning and specifying Corningu2019s solutions. Work closely with the US Federal sales team and cooperate with other sales colleagues in EMEA. Develop and maintain relationships with end users, distribution channels and installers. Develop and implement an account and territory plan and adjust sales techniques according to interactions and results in the field. Ensure that all Corning Optical Communicationsu2019 business processes are followed. Key Measures: Meet or exceed budgeted sales levels for all products through regular sales calls to a targeted, balanced mix of end users, consultants, distributors and contractors generating a preference for Corning Optical Communicationsu2019 products. Maintain positive Customer relationships across key functional areas including appropriate Executive action. Maintain and update Account Plans, Opportunities and activities for allocated region in the respective CRM database. Establish and maintain sufficient product knowledge of Corning Optical Communicationsu2019 products and their applications to recognize opportunities and communicate internally to achieve maximum advantage. Communicate competitive information obtained from all sources to specific Product Line Managers, Marketing and Sales. Participate in nominated regional trade shows and conventions in the territory to promote Corning Optical Communicationsu2019 solutions and support targeted distributorsu2019 sales effort. Required skills and qualifications: Bacheloru2019s degree or equivalent. 3 or more years of sales experience preferably in the same industry, with proven success rate at levels above sales quota. Strong technical / product / industry knowledge. Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and presentation skills. Very good German and English language skills. High flexibility and willingness for 3 to 4 days of business travel per week.
