KG Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Grid Solutions Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As Tender Project Manager (f/m/d) for Synchronous Condenser projects within Grid Solutions, you will manage the Tender Preparation process for assigned proposals, ensuring we secure quality orders in global markets. You will engage with various stakeholders, manage the bid process, and develop winning strategies that align with our business objectives. 1. Lead the entire bid process for assigned proposals, collaborating with Technical Sales, Business Development Teams, and/or internal execution disciplines to prepare the offer documentation and respond to customers’ requests for quotations.
2. Review invitations to tender and specifications to fully understand customer requirements, coordinating with all departments to prepare compelling proposal documentation, and formulate effective bid strategies.
3. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Management teams to manage inquiries from external suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring clarity of scope through customer meetings and site visits.
4. Assess and clarify all internal and external inputs to ensure they meet tender requirements and that all interfaces are well-coordinated.
5. Produce accurate tender price calculations using approved tools, ensuring that risk assessments are conducted and cash flow models are realistic, competitive, and aligned with business targets.
What You Bring
6. Master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field.
7. Longstanding experience in project or tender management, or as a core team member on SynCon projects or equivalent.
8. Expertise in rotating electrical machines and proven experience in managing projects within the Transmission sector, particularly in FACTS/HVDC/Power Plants.
9. Strong background in reporting and presenting to executive management, along with excellent customer relationship skills.
10. Experience leading cross-functional activities across borders, with a talent for building strong internal relationships.
11. Solid understanding of project-related technical, commercial, and contractual management, including scope, time, costs, resources, and contract topics.
12. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal; proficiency in German is a plus.
