Our client are a global Tier 1 Automotive supplier who are looking to recruit an Account Manager to oversee and grow the strategic relationship with Volkswagen (VW) as part of their Tier 1 automotive supply operations. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact between the business and VW, ensuring delivery of high-quality service, customer satisfaction, and business growth across vehicle programs and platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the main liaison between the company and Volkswagen across all levels (purchasing, engineering, quality, program management).
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with VW stakeholders
* Manage commercial activities including quoting, pricing negotiations, and contracts.
* Identify new business opportunities within the VW group business
* Drive revenue and margin growth across existing and new product lines.
* Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Logistics) to ensure flawless program launches and ongoing production support
Profile of candidate
* You will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
* Experience in an automotive sales/account management or program management role for a Tier 1 supplier
* Direct experience working with one of the VW group accounts and have experience of working with the VW portals
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to manage complex projects with cross-functional teams.
* German and English language proficiency is a must
