Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Discovery
• Lead workshops with business, technical, and operational teams to define requirements.
• Produce business requirement documents, technical specs, workflows, and SLAs.
• Identify dependencies, integrations, compliance needs, and support impacts.
RFP Development & Vendor Evaluation
• Translate requirements into a complete RFP package aligned with procurement standards.
• Evaluate Operator Connect carriers based on footprint, resilience, pricing, and capabilities.
• Manage vendor briefings, Q&A, scoring, commercial comparisons, and final recommendations.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, Security, and Architecture teams throughout the process.
Contracting & Risk Management
• Drive vendor contracting, redlining, negotiation, and finalization.
• Coordinate Third Party Risk Management, Security Assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Ensure contractual commitments support operational and technical requirements.
Deployment Planning & Migration Execution
Baseline Discovery & Inventory
• Consolidate telephony inventory including number ranges, DID blocks, routing, and existing contracts.
• Map contractual commitments, notice periods, and porting constraints.
Migration Preparation
• Develop number porting strategies across multiple geographies and carriers.
• Manage porting submissions, rejections, escalations, and progress tracking.
• Define structured migration waves to minimize business disruption.
Test Planning
• Define end-to-end test plans covering routing, call flows, emergency calling, QoS, failover, etc.
• Track and remediate test results prior to go-live.
Deployment & Cutover Execution
• Coordinate pilot, phased rollout, and full deployment activities.
• Oversee cutovers and ensure successful activation and issue resolution.
• Follow a scalable, repeatable deployment framework.
Process Design, Communication & Reporting
Repeatable Process Development
• Build standardized templates and workflows for porting, testing, intake, and activation.
• Ensure complete documentation handover to BAU teams.
Communication & Change Management
• Drive user and stakeholder communication plans.
• Support readiness, training, FAQs, and post deployment adoption.
Status Reporting & Governance
• Produce dashboards, RAID logs, executive updates, and migration metrics.
• Track KPIs, vendor SLAs, and ensure program delivery remains on schedule.
Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience managing global UCaaS or telephony transformation projects.
• Strong technical knowledge: Teams Voice, Operator Connect, Direct Routing, SIP, SBCs, emergency calling, etc.
• Expertise in RFP development, vendor evaluation, procurement, and contracting cycles.
• Experience with number porting, multi carrier migrations, and scalable process design.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Strong project governance: RAID logs, risks, timelines, reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
• Microsoft Teams Voice / Operator Connect certifications.
• Experience working with global carriers and enterprise telephony consolidation.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., 911/E911, GDPR, call recording compliance).
Mandatory
• Proven experience in Microsoft Teams Operator Connect
• Voice migration experience (added advantage)
• German language proficiency at B2 level
