Description and Requirements
The Transportation and Manufacturing Industry Manager is responsible Lenovo’s go-to-market strategy for workstation solutions targeting both the Transportation (automotive, aerospace, and heavy equipment) and manufacturing sectors. The primary focus is to grow Lenovo’s presence throughout all subsegments of these markets via the acquisition and retention of clients/studios. As the lead for these industry segments, the manager will oversee all aspects of these industries within the Lenovo workstation business unit and be the spokesperson/subject matter expert for these industries both within, and external to Lenovo.
Responsibilities Include
1. Define the global strategy and go to market plan to drive growth for the Lenovo workstation business within the transportation and manufacturing sectors.
2. Develop product messaging and positioning, sales enablement, and competitive analysis tools by geography.
3. Assist GEO marketing leads with their regional programs.
4. Support GEO sales leadership with their acquisition and retention strategies for Lenovo workstations solutions in transportation and manufacturing.
5. Work with other Industry Managers to nurture and manage ISV relationships ANSYS, Autodesk, Dassault Systèmes, etc.).Drive partner co-marketing with ISVs to create awareness and leads in transportation and manufacturing.Facilitate workstation certifications.Support GEOs with regional ISV partner activity.
6. Identify key WW industry events targeted at the transportation and manufacturing sectors and manage Lenovo presence at those events.
7. Support sales opportunities with direct customer interaction.
8. Create and manage opportunities for industry-specific solutions and proof of concepts with customers, prospects, ISV, and other technology partners.
Knowledge and Experience
9. Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a global technical, marketing or product management role within the transportation and/or manufacturing sectors.
10. Established relationships within the transportation and manufacturing industry at OEMs, tier 1 suppliers and technology ecosystem is an asset.
11. Workstation/server solution experience is an asset.
12. Relationships with, and experience working with transportation and manufacturing ISV solution providers.
Skill Requirements
13. Bachelor’s degree in related field required, MBA preferred.
14. Strong virtual team/extensive cross-group coordination and collaboration.
15. Exceptional strategic, customer focused, open & effective communication skills.
16. Strong technical acumen and passion for learning new technologies.
17. Self-starter who can manage ambiguity and chart a clear course in an environment of change.
18. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills – German and English required.
