Could you be the full-time Train Manager Domain Leader (f/m/d) in Hennigsdorf we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, shape in Hennigsdorf the future of rail mobility. The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to Head of Train Validation Métier and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We’ll look for you to :
* Representing the leading figure of the Train Managers, both technically for QTC (Quality, Time, Cost) and disciplinary in the Alstom sites Hennigsdorf and Salzgitter
* Managing the workload of the team, including sub-contracted support
* Ensuring compliance of EHS directives and instructions by the Train Manager team members (inside and outside test lab facilities)
* Managing P&L of the Train Manager team
* Ensuring Train Manager team most relevant contribution to Alstom R&D and Innovation strategy
* Developing and ensuring the preservation of external recognitions (DAkkS, COFRAC, ISO, IRIS,…)
* Defining the objectives of the staff and managing competencies
* Managing reviews and continuous improvement actions, ensuring the follow-up and the closing of the quality action plan resulting from the audits and reviews
* Preparing frequently status reports to the site Train Validation Métier Manager
* Take over a Train Manager role within a project and represent the Train Validation organization on board the train during validation and certification activities:
o Be responsible for the preparation of the test implementation on the train and for ensuring train availability as well as the overall safety of the test.
o Coordinate the operational activities of all on-board personnel and ensure their safety.
o Manage the First Aid Box and be familiar with the alert channels in the event of an accident.
o Serve as the primary point of contact for the designated representative from the Testing Body responsible for the test campaign.
o Ensure that the test object's configuration is properly managed.
o Support the Alstom Test Managers in producing failure reports.
o Assist the Alstom Test Manager with the test book (chronology of test events) and daily test status reports.
o Evaluate the train set's condition, particularly regarding modifications, and determine whether the train remains in a safe state.

* Graduation from Technician or Engineering school ( electrical basis mandatory )
* Experience in technical or disciplinary leading of engineers
* On field experience of Test or Validation Technician
* General Railway knowledge
* Understanding of safety stakes
* Structured and organized approach of the job
* Coordination skills and ability to take decisions
* Practical knowledge of trouble shooting activities
* Experience in an international working environment
* Willingness for frequent travel with the test object
* Fluent in German and English (French beneficial)
