Staff Product Owner R&D – Enabling Technologies (m/f/d)
Location: Freiburg im Breisgau or Berlin, Germany
Work Model: Hybrid (75% onsite / 25% remote)
Travel: ~20–30% international
About the Role
As a Product Owner within our Neurotechnology Solutions Team, you act as a key interface between customers, clinical stakeholders, and the development organization.
Working closely with Marketing, Systems Engineering, and senior product leadership, you translate clinical and user needs into well-defined product requirements. You ensure that enabling technology solutions are implemented effectively and deliver value in the operating room.
You contribute to aligning user needs with technical implementation, supporting the development of clinically relevant and competitive solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as an interface between customers, clinical stakeholders, and development teams, in close collaboration with Marketing and under guidance of senior product leadership.
2. Translate user needs intoclear user stories, requirements, and backlog items together with UX/UI and Systems Engineering
3. Support thecommunication and refinement of product vision, ensuring alignment within the team
4. Work closely with engineering teams to ensurefeasible and high-quality implementation of product features
5. Participate invoice of customer activities, sales interactions, and cadaver labs to validate concepts and refine requirements
6. Build and maintain an understanding ofneurosurgical and ENT workflows to support clinically relevant solutions
7. Support monitoring ofmarket trends and competitor solutions to inform backlog prioritization
8. Contribute toprioritization decisions, focusing on delivering high-value features

Your Profile
18. Degree inMedical Engineering or a related field
19. Initial experience withmedical devices preferred
20. ~2–5 years of experience in theMedTech industry or a similar environment
21. Basic understanding ofclinical workflows and user-centered product development
22. Experience working incross-functional, agile teams
23. Strong communication skills and ability towork with multiple stakeholders
24. Fluent in English
