As an Engineering & Innovation Manager for the Gas Services Solutions business, you could imagine beginning your day by aligning cross‑functional teams and key stakeholders - internal functions and partners - around modularization and innovation priorities across the full EPC lifecycle. Throughout the day, you drive modularization workshops with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, support benchmarking competitor offerings, shape innovation business cases, and cocreate concepts with diverse collaborators to accelerate idea maturity. You wrap up by steering pilot projects toward scalable, standardized offerings that strengthen the future energy portfolio.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Drive modularization, standardization & innovation initiatives by being involved in complete EPC (Erection, Procurement, Construction) lifecycle of complex power plants and hybrid solutions
2. Lead and integrate cross-functional teams, esp. interfacing with diverse engineering fields (, electrical, controls & instrumentation, process, mechanical, plant layout, etc.), and collaborate across organizational boundaries to advance innovation concepts towards maturity
3. Benchmark competitor offerings and prototype unconventional approaches; validate business model viability and commercialization paths
4. Ability to manage the future of energy by interacting with external partners (customers, consultants, suppliers) and internal collaborators, to identify, prioritize and drive new ideas
What You Bring
5. University degree (Bc or MSc) in engineering combined with many years of experience in power plant engineering, solution innovation, product strategy, or portfolio management within the energy or industrial project environment
6. Ability to create cost models, develop business cases, pilot new ideas, and scale innovations into standardized offerings
7. Knowledge of design thinking, modularization, and analytical and financial evaluation methods
8. Leadership through influence across functions such as engineering, bid management, supply chain, and finance
9. Persistent and experimental mindset with the ability to challenge established approaches and collaborate across organizational boundaries
10. Business fluency in English (C1) and German (C1) as well as a readiness for global collaboration with limited travel as required for workshops and discussions
