Job Description
For over a century, medical technology has driven progress in ophthalmology and microsurgery. Our solutions help maintain and improve vision at every life stage in ophthalmology, while in microsurgery, we enable targeted intervention in diseased tissue so small organs function optimally.
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate and qualify global suppliers based on scalability, cost efficiency, delivery reliability, resilience, and sustainability to support growth strategy.
* Work with selected suppliers to achieve development targets aligned with Category Management.
* Analyze suppliers' processes and KPIs, deriving measures to support supplier improvements in processes, organization, risk management, production networks, etc.
* Implement measures to reduce supplier risk scores resulting from supplier risk evaluations.
* Ensure supply chain compliance with global regulations, norms, and standards.
* Support internal and external audits.
* National and international travel activities.
Your Profile
* Procurement professional with 5+ years of experience in supplier management and development.
* Experienced in Lean-Methods (Lean-Manufacturing, 5S, Gemba, Six Sigma, CIP, Kaizen, SMED, Total Productive Maintenance, Value Stream Mapping).
* Strong technical skills in various production technologies.
* Good understanding of global regulations, norms, and standards.
* Experienced in supplier audits and deriving reliable measures to improve supplier performance.
* Good knowledge in project management.
* Excellent communication skills to animate stakeholders and foster collaborations.
* Service-oriented capability to bring strategic vision and hands-on contribution.
* Fluent in English and preferable a 2nd language like German or French.
