Our Powertrain and Platform division is responsible not only for the development and product management of innovative products but also for the sustainable implementation of global product cost optimization. As part of our product responsibility, we also focus on developing circular economy strategies for vehicles and components. During this internship, you will explore these topics with a focus on electric drives, in close collaboration with an ongoing dissertation at the OHLF (Open Hybrid LabFactory). Possible tasks within this role
* Develop concepts and approaches for magnet recycling in electric drives
* Conduct competitive analyses of electric drives with regard to circular economy principles
* Research relevant literature on the subject
* Assess the economic viability and feasibility of circular economy strategies within the Volkswagen Group
Qualification requirements
* Enrolled in a Master's program or Bachelor's program (minimum of 89 credit points) in STEM fields, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or similar disciplines
* Good to excellent academic performance
* Knowledge of sustainability assessment (LCA) or circular economy is desirable
* Initiative, ability to work in a team, and independent working style
* German and English language level B2
