role to support the project teams within Mace’s Germany business delivering project outcomes within time, cost and quality requirements. Coordinating with all relevant internal and external parties to understand and deliver project objectives set out in the project plans. The role is primarily based in Berlin, Munich or Frankfurt, but will entail travel to sites across Germany, as well as the regional Mace office in Frankfurt.
You’ll be responsible for:
5. Working with the project team to assist in the delivery of construction projects through all phases from strategic definition/concept development through execution and handover.
6. Collaborating with relevant parties/stakeholders and ensuring robust quality systems are suitably managed and monitored in line with service excellence.
7. Attending and recording relevant meetings, providing relevant parties with contextual information and analysis, including meetings with clients and external stakeholders.
8. Visits to active project sites across Germany or internationally, when required, including documenting findings (project-dependent).
9. Conducting research, analysis, record-keeping and other supporting activities to ensure timely and accurate information to contribute to delivery of project management operation.
10. Identifying solutions to issues that are generally defined (but not always immediately evident) and require problem-solving.
11. Managing and tracking project changes and ensuring they are processed and formalised within the agreed timeframes.
12. Assisting in compiling and providing handover documentation prior to practical completion of projects.
13. Active involvement in risk management and mitigation treatments.
14. Monitoring and actively engaging in relevant health, safety and wellbeing aspects of projects.
You’ll need to have:
15. Basic knowledge of project management in construction and industries and understanding of scheduling, reporting and project finance.
16. Outline knowledge and appreciation of a specific market sector within health and life sciences, data centre, technology, manufacturing or similar.
17. Understanding the phases making up construction projects (project stages as per HOAI or equivalent), as well as relevant contractual frameworks (VOB or equivalent).
18. Problem solving and analytical skills to address project issues.
19. Interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain client relationships, as well as for reporting and presenting project information.
20. Experience working with common project-related software, including MS Project, and the MS Office suite.
21. Appreciation of the importance of health and safety.
22. Desire to seek opportunities for learning and development, as well as improving existing working practices. Developing working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
23. Proficient in English and German.
You’ll also have:
24. Previous experience in project management or related role.
25. Degree/tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (project management and/or construction-related field), OR non-related degree or equivalent professional experience/apprenticeship, combined with a demonstrable intermediate level of role knowledge.
