Based in Saitama Japan, Sake Europe is growing rapidly in Germany.
This role requires the participant to reside or travel to Nuremberg Germany for the project duration.
We need help for a specific project and are looking for very specific person(s) to help with our expansion plans.
Role Description
This is a temporary contract role for a Project Manager, Nuremburg Germany. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing an international stand at the Nuremburg Christmas market from November 26th until December 15.
Day-to-day tasks include opening the stand every morning. Closing the stand every evening. Overseeing project specialists and working side by side with the CEO as required. You will be responsible for insuring the Christmas Market stand is secure, clean, presentable and available to the public participants.
Other duties may include selling souvenirs to the market participants and helping the CEO with sake presentations. Speaking to market participants about the Saitama City and Nuremburg City sister city relationship. Offering printed information, showing online references and the like to market participants.
Qualifications
* Retail Experience useful.
* Experience working with the public, for example, you worked at the post office or a bank or retail store.
* Interested in Japan and Germany heritage, being Japanese or German or both is preferable.
* Willingness to roll up sleeves and help. This is not a passive role.
* Friendly and warm personality. Willingness to talk to market participants.
* Experience with event planning and management useful.
* Willingness to learn about what you don't know, for example, Where is Saitama Japan? Why is the Nuremburg Christmas market so special? What are the four ingredients in Japanese sake?
* Bachelor's degree not required.
* Work experience and the willingness to take on day to day tasks and responsibility is more important.
* German language skills are very, very important.
* Japanese language skills are a big huge bonus plus, plus, plus.
* English language skills useful since the company was founded by native English speakers but German only is ok.
Must be willing to work outside in the cold weather. Must be willing to be on your feet for nearly 12 hours a day, each day during the Christmas market. Of course you get breaks. The fee is fixed but it's also negotiable. Tell me what you want. You get a bonus for completion and a bonus for insuring there is minimal shrinkage of inventory. This is a hard work and quick hit before the Christmas holiday. Willingness to be responsible is paramount. If you don't live in Nuremburg area, reimbursement for travel and accommodations is available for the right person.
