Job Description:
The Associate Technical Project Manager supports the coordination, planning, and tracking of Technology Infrastructure deliverables during the design and construction phases of Walt Disney Imagineering (Germany)/Disney Cruise Line new ship build projects.
The Associate Technical Project Manager works closely with Senior Project Managers, the Shipyard, cross-functional project teams, and external vendors to help ensure schedules, documentation, and project workflows remain on track.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate international logistics to enable just-in-time delivery for project hardware according to build schedule.
* Assist in coordinating Technology Infrastructure tasks throughout design, construction, and integration phases of cruise ship projects.
* Support Senior Project Managers in organizing meetings, preparing agendas and meeting minutes, maintaining project schedules and documentation, tracking milestones, and preparing status updates.
* Assist with communication between internal Disney stakeholders, the Shipyard, and external vendors.
* Support interactions with consultants and vendors, including tracking deliverables, reviewing documentation for completeness, and following up on outstanding actions.
* Help ensure vendors perform in accordance with agreements, escalating concerns to senior project leaders as needed.
* Contribute to the creation and maintenance of standardized processes and templates for multiple ship builds.
* Support project tracking using established project management methodologies, tools and templates (e.g., schedules, budgets tracker, status updates and issue logs).
* Monitor inventory of project materials, equipment shipments, and technology-related logistics.
* Support travel coordination for business travelers and vendors, shipyard access requests, and other logistical needs for the project team.
* Support onboarding of internal and external team members by ensuring tools, permissions, and documentation are prepared.
* Provide day-to-day support to project teams, helping remove blockers and escalating issues appropriately.
* Ensuring that deliverables conform to Disney security policies, standards, and procedures.
Basic Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of experience within the Hospitality, Cruise, Technology or Technical industry
* Computer skills in MS office
* Knowledgeable in the use of Smartsheets, Jira, and Power BI as project management tools in design, administration, planning, and finance
* Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises
* Manage several projects simultaneously
* Day-to-day technical design coordination for multiple systems and venues
* Fluent in English; working knowledge of German is an advantage
* Eligible to work and live within EU
Required Education
* Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in cruise-ship newbuilds and construction environments
* Computer skills in AutoDesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD LT and BlueBeam Revu
