In this exciting role, you will take charge of the financial aspects of our construction projects, acting as a vital finance business partner to our real estate project management organization. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with diverse teams across Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Operations, Procurement, and Legal. 4. You will partner closely with RE Project Directors to support investment approvals and lead the financial execution of assigned project portfolios, covering budgeting, forecasting, cost recognition, and reporting to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives.
5. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of project financial records in line with IFRS and local GAAP, with a strong focus on high-quality forecasting and financial transparency.
6. Establish and maintain robust financial project structures (including WBS) in accordance with approved budgets and develop financial performance plans aligned with project schedules.
7. Manage month-end project closing activities, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
8. Prepare and present regular project financial performance updates to senior management and key stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
9. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and business areas to ensure financial alignment across real estate construction projects and maintain continuous, effective stakeholder communication.
What You Bring
10. A Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or Accounting is required (Master’s degree or CPA is a plus) and long-term hands-on experience in Finance, Controlling, or Project Finance roles with experience in SAP modules (mandatory)
11. Strong understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis/Business Case Models in preparation of investment approvals ( proof of profitability & discounted cash flow calculation) & experience in preparation and tracking of annual budgets, monthly and quarterly forecasting and actual reporting for dedicated project porfolios (CAPEX, Free-cash-flow, gross costs, depreciation).
12. Strong knowledge of IFRS/Local GAAP, with proven experience in property, plant, and equipment (PP&E) accounting; familiarity with FRS16-lease accounting is a plus.
13. Excellent written and spoken English & German skills are essential; Spanish is a plus.
14. You are a hardworking, independent multitasker with a hands-on approach, capable of providing leadership and structure in a dynamic environment.
