Your role We are looking for an experienced Category Innovation Manager to drive the growth and innovation of our product categories in the dynamic pet food & supplements market. In this pivotal role, you will own the category pet food supplements & functional pet food end-to-end, shaping products that delight customers and set new industry standards. Your Responsibilities: Take full ownership of the category, managing portfolio strategy and roadmap execution – actively co-develop unique selling propositions (USPs) to differentiate products in the market Conduct deep market analysis, understanding trends, consumer behavior, and category leaders to identify new opportunities Actively co-develop product categories, shaping concepts and innovation strategies from the ground up Develop concept calculations to ensure profitability and feasibility before development – review them, as well as reformulations, together with our internal scientific Formulation Management team Define and source high-quality materials, perform regulatory checks, and drive taste creation and sensory testing in collaboration with cross-functional teams Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless product launches Conduct performance reviews of existing products to guide improvements and lifecycle management In the future, prepare forecasting proposals and share co-responsibility for revenue and P&L, ensuring the commercial success of your category Your profile Proven experience (ideally 5 years) in Product Innovation, Product Development, NPD, or R&D within the animal food, dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, or broader FMCG sector Expertise in the formulation and development of pet food supplements and related animal health & wellness products Demonstrated ability to identify, escalate, and resolve roadblocks early, ensuring smooth and efficient project progression Solid understanding of the pet food market and its leaders, raw material / ingredients knowledge and digital consumer behavior Strategic thinker with a hands-on execution mindset, combined with excellent project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
