About The Job This position at Sanofi focuses on chasing the miracles of science to improve people’s lives through cutting-edge science, manufacturing, data and digital technologies. The Digital & Data function aims to be the leading digital healthcare platform to develop and deliver medicine faster, enable healthcare professionals to improve treatments, and help patients improve their health. The Digital In-Silico Research team is a key innovation engine within Digital R&D, dedicated to pioneering next-generation digital products that reshape how R&D discovers, designs, and develops new medicines. We harness AI, machine learning, and computational modeling to build transformative in-silico solutions that empower scientists with predictive insights and streamlined workflows. As the Product Owner for AI/ML Drug Design, you will bridge powerful AI/ML models and the scientists who use them. You will envision and lead the creation of user-friendly computational platforms that make ML tool outputs accessible and actionable for scientists focused on molecular design processes, transforming the molecular design experience into intuitive workflows that integrate biologics discovery. This role sits at the intersection of AI/ML technology and user-centered design, with direct impact on how AI integrates into research workflows to drive insights. You will partner with data scientists, ML engineers, and R&D scientists to translate technical capabilities into user-centered solutions that enable faster, more informed decisions in molecular discovery, generation, and optimization. You will own the product roadmap and backlogs for AI/ML solutions enabling molecular design insights and decision making, working in agile pods to deliver iterative improvements that enhance user experience and adoption. A critical aspect is evaluating researchers’ activities to identify bottlenecks that digital solutions can address, balancing scientific accuracy with intuitive design to ensure solutions are accessible, scalable and usable by non-computational scientists. Success in this role means producing AI-enabled tools that become essential to scientific research workflows and accelerate Sanofi’s biologics discovery pipeline. Key Responsibilities Product Development & Delivery: Own and prioritize the product roadmap and backlog for AI/ML solutions serving molecular design scientists; partner with data scientists and ML engineers to understand model outputs, capabilities and limitations; define detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics based on scientific workflows; lead agile and iterative development with UX/UI designers, data scientists and data engineers; coordinate with MLOps teams to validate technical requirements and architecture; balance new feature development with technical debt and user feedback; establish and monitor success metrics to demonstrate value realization at executive level. User Experience & Adoption: Conduct user research with molecular design scientists to understand workflows, pain points, data and predictive needs; design intuitive front-end interfaces and visualizations that make AI/ML predictions accessible, interpretable and actionable; ensure interfaces are scientifically rigorous while remaining intuitive for users with varying computational backgrounds; lead usability testing sessions and gather continuous feedback; monitor and drive adoption through targeted training, documentation and change management. Stakeholder Collaboration: Build partnerships with R&D scientists to understand biologics discovery workflows; collaborate with ML/AI teams to stay current on opportunities and constraints; coordinate with the Product Line Owner on portfolio strategy, prioritization and resource allocation; communicate product progress, adoption metrics and value delivered to leadership; facilitate co-creation workshops and manage trade-offs between user needs and technical feasibility. Technical & Scientific Bridge: Serve as translator between ML capabilities and scientific user needs; collaborate with data engineers to ensure robust data pipelines and APIs; stay current on best practices in scientific data visualization and interface design for computational biology; work with scientific informatics teams to ensure proper integration with existing molecular design tools and databases. Experience & Education 6+ years of experience in product management and translating business requirements to technical specifications. Proven track record in collaborating with data scientists and developers in a scientific environment. Experience delivering digital products. Soft And Technical Skills: Solid understanding of biologics discovery workflows and challenges; ability to translate complex concepts into intuitive user experiences; solid experience with agile product development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and cross-functional teams; familiarity with ML/AI applications in drug discovery; change management skills to drive adoption of new tools and workflows; proficiency with product management tools (Figma, Miro, JIRA, or similar); ability to balance priorities and make data-driven decisions. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences (Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry or related field) with significant industry experience in computational biology. MS or PhD preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
