Your Role Maintain the workflow pipeline for the production process Perform basic laboratory procedures, including sample preparation, and prepare media and reagents for upstream fermentations in a production environment Support downstream processing methods and assist in setting up and maintaining pilot equipment and processes Assist with experimental setup, execution, data collection, and analysis, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation Monitor and record data during experiments, ensuring strict adherence to SOPs, process protocols, and batch records Write and update SOPs for processes and equipment where applicable. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the work area Handle moderately heavy equipment, lift materials, and process products as needed. Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of equipment Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure the optimal performance of equipment Your Profile Currently pursuing a Master in or related to Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bioprocessing Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology or Life science Experience working with microorganisms and following GLP and aseptic techniques Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment such as Microbiology Safety Cabinet, Centrifuge, Dead end filters, Benchtop fermenters, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is required Experience in pilot or manufacturing environments is a plus Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting objects of 10-15 kg when necessary. Fluency in English, both verbal and written Must be able to work effectively in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and collaborate on interdisciplinary fermentation-related projects Detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment About us BIOWEG is a purpose-driven company developing bio-based alternatives to fossil-based ingredients using Biotech and Green Chemistry.
