What You'll Do:

As a Production Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, supervising the manufacturing of balloons and catheters products with the support and assistance of your team. You will be leading the daily production of assemblers and machine operators while you monitor your team productivity, quality, teamwork, attendance and attention to detail together with order volume, planning, capacity analysis and workforce adjustments to maximize labor utilization. High quality products that conform to individual customer specifications will be key for your success. You will have the opportunity to investigate non-conformities and customer complaints regarding products and recommend permanent manufacturing improvements to correct and prevent recurrences.



What We're Looking For:

* Monitor employees’ daily manufacturing for quality, conforming product.
* Plan and monitor manufacturing of customer orders for timely shipment and workforce capacity analysis.
* Manage performance of employee workforce through effective communication and timely performance management.
* Diagnose manufacturing problems and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
* Drive a Continuous Improvement mindset, using tools as VSM, bottleneck analysis, 5S, etc.
* Monitor facilities to make sure that it runs at an optimal capacity and prevents down time. Suggest areas of improvements
* Team with Quality Control Department in the disposition of non-conforming product and resolution of quality problems and with product development function to ensure smooth transition of R&D product to production.
* Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to product quality.
* Understand and follow the SOP’s pertaining to their specific area.
* Develop Department Supervisors to act and assist in running manufacturing.
* Maintain standards for housekeeping and safety.
* Make presentations in both large and small group settings.
* Understand and follow the Work Instructions pertaining to their specific area.
* Identify opportunities for process optimization to reduce manufacturing costs.





Skills That Make a Difference:

* Degree in a technical discipline (e.g. engineering, supply chain, chemistry, business, etc.) or 15+ years of experience in production roles. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
* 10 years’ experience within production in a manufacturing environment. Experience in a medical device of medical contract manufacturing industry is considered as a plus.
* Lean Manufacturing Green Belt or Six Sigma certification is an added value.
* Experience in a leadership position.
* Experience supervising personnel in a manufacturing setting to include distribution of work, scheduling, training, answering of questions related to work, problem solving, performance management and discipline.
* Able to calculate product cost breakdowns such as: piece/hr., hrs./piece, total cost of manufacture, piece part cost, machine and manufacturing cycle times, manufacturing yields, efficiencies, OTIF, costs by operation, and machine and equipment capacity
* Atention to detail, organized and capable of multi-tasking with high sense of urgency.
* Proficient on Excel software. Ability to create and interpret spreadsheets, pivot tables and cost analysis.
* Excellent (written and verbal) communication and effective human interaction skills both in English and German.
