Leitung Technik Region Südwest (m/w/d)
As the head of technical operations for Region Südwest, you will strategically steer the maintenance of the entire bus fleet, serve as the primary contact for regional management and local executives, and develop future‑proof maintenance processes. You will act as a powerful partner and catalyst for the region.
Responsibilities
* Strategic direction for regional maintenance, including the development of a strategy to acquire third‑party services.
* Establishment of a competence center for workshop leaders in Region Südwest to set quality and standards and coordinate relevant maintenance areas for buses and rail.
* Support the creation of budgets, CAPEX plans, and tender processes for all maintenance themes.
* Ensure local operations possess sufficient maintenance competence and assist in the selection and development of relevant personnel.
* Optimize efficient working methods and processes for maintenance, repair, and service work in workshops.
* Build interfaces with technical departments within the group to leverage synergies and share best practices.
Qualifications
* Technical education (e.g., mechanical engineering, mechatronics) or a technical trade qualification such as automotive mechatronics, ideally complemented by a master’s examination (e.g., Kraftverkehrsmeister).
* Extensive experience in vehicle technology and bus maintenance management, with leadership skills and business‑administrative understanding of workshop operations.
* Strong organisational and analytical skills, negotiation and assertiveness, as well as a strategic and structured work style.
* Comprehensive knowledge of operational maintenance work, workshop processes, and approval regulations.
* (Preferably) experience in the transport and mobility market and in a decentralised organisation.
* Willingness to travel within Region Südwest (Rhineland–Palatinate/Hesse).
* Excellent German and English language skills and proficient use of standard MS Office applications.
