We’re looking for a talented and proactive Project Manager to join our Automation team.
The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end project delivery—from customer requirements and design coordination to installation, commissioning, and final acceptance. This role requires excellent organizational skills, technical expertise, and proven experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering, production, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership
1. Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of welding-related industrial projects.
2. Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure delivery within scope and compliance requirements.
3. Facilitate communication between engineering, automation, production, and customer teams.
Technical Coordination
4. Oversee integration of welding processes (e.g., arc welding, resistance welding, robotic welding) with automation systems such as robots, PLCs, sensors, and control systems.
5. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to review technical specifications, layouts, and process documentation.
6. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
7. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Lead project review meetings, present progress reports, manage scope changes, and provide risk mitigation strategies.
9. Ensure customer satisfaction through clear communication and timely resolution of issues.
Operational Execution
10. Coordinate equipment procurement, manufacturing, and system integration.
11. Oversee on-site installation, commissioning, and performance validation.
12. Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and well maintained.
Risk, Budget, and Quality Control
13. Monitor project risks and develop mitigation plans.
14. Manage project financials, including cost tracking and forecasting.
15. Ensure system performance meets defined KPIs and quality criteria.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience
16. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation, or related technical field.
17. 5+ years of project management experience in the welding, metal fabrication, or industrial automation sector.
18. Demonstrated experience in delivering automation-integrated welding solutions (e.g., robotic welding cells, automated assembly lines, or industrial robotics projects).
Technical Skills
19. Solid understanding of welding processes, metallurgy basics, and equipment (MIG/MAG, TIG, spot welding, robotic welding, etc.).
20. Strong knowledge of automation technologies: industrial robotics (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA), PLCs, controls, and vision systems.
21. Familiarity with CAD tools and industrial layout planning (a plus).
Project Management Skills
22. Proficiency with project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, Waterfall).
23. Strong organizational, planning, and documentation capabilities.
24. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Soft Skills
25. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
26. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
27. Customer-oriented mindset with high attention to detail.
28. Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment and influence cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
29. PMP or equivalent project management certification.
30. Experience in automotive, heavy machinery, aerospace, or metal fabrication industries.
31. Familiarity with safety standards (ISO, CE, Machinery Directive, etc.).
