A rare opportunity to lead a major hyperscale data centre project from the ground up — with full ownership of planning, team build-out, and delivery.
We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded MEP subcontractor with an impressive record across Europe's most demanding data centre programmes. This is a critical leadership hire in a niche but growing contractor: you will be the project lead from day one, shaping how the project is planned, who is on the team, and how it is delivered.
If you have delivered complex, large-scale or hyperscale data centre projects and you are ready to own the outcome end-to-end — technically, commercially, and operationally — this role is worth your attention.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
✅ Leading the full project lifecycle from mobilisation and detailed planning through to handover and commissioning
✅ Building and managing your project team — hiring engineers, package managers, supervisors, and site staff
✅ Taking full P&L responsibility for an MEP package valued at circa €30 million
✅ Overseeing both Mechanical and Electrical scopes, ensuring integration, programme alignment, and quality standards
✅ Driving subcontractor performance, procurement, and resource allocation across all work packages
✅ Acting as the primary point of contact for the client and key stakeholders throughout the project
✅ Maintaining rigorous QHSE standards in line with client and company requirements
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
🔹 Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale or hyperscale data centre projects — ideally 30MW+ — in a senior MEP leadership capacity
🔹 End-to-end MEP project management experience covering both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines
🔹 Proven P&L accountability on packages of comparable scale and complexity
🔹 Experience building project teams from scratch — you know how to hire, structure, and lead a high-performing site operation
🔹 Strong commercial acumen: cost reporting, variations management, procurement, and forecasting
🔹 A track record of successful client relationships on technically demanding, programme-critical projects
🔹 Trade or engineering qualification; 10+ years in MEP construction with at least 5 in data centre environments preferred
