A leading engineering organisation specialising in the design, planning and implementation of power systems projects across multiple sectors is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its team.
Due to strong market growth and increasing opportunities within the sector, this role will focus on delivering key projects on time and within budget while maintaining strong client relationships.
Reporting to an Operations Director, the successful candidate will be given responsibility and autonomy to drive and deliver projects from initiation through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership across projects, balancing operational delivery, strategic thinking and financial performance.
* Manage projects and resources (people, materials, funding and support) to deliver commitments on time and within budget.
* Maintain and develop strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
* Demonstrate a clear understanding of projects within the power generation and energy sector and ensure successful delivery.
* Show ownership and leadership across project teams and activities.
* Identify risks, opportunities and challenges when making project decisions.
* Highlight issues or difficulties transparently and take appropriate action.
* Ensure all work follows company processes, guidelines and industry standards.
* Take decisive action in complex or high-pressure situations and maintain project momentum.
* Ensure project objectives align with wider organisational strategy and goals.
* Build and lead diverse, high-performing teams with complementary skills and backgrounds.
* Encourage open communication and collaboration within teams.
* Define team goals, drive performance improvements and celebrate team success.

Requirements
* Experience within the power generation or energy sector
* Proven track record of delivering projects within this industry
* Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
* Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage relationships effectively
* Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification
* Full valid driving licence
* Understanding of relevant national laws, regulations and industry standards.
