As our new Product Manager (m/f/d), you will take end-to-end ownership of a defined product area within our monitoring platform. Your responsibility is to translate product strategy into a clear roadmap and a well-prioritized backlog that enables your team to deliver meaningful user value continuously.
You will work closely with engineering, UX, and domain experts to deeply understand the technical landscape and user needs. Based on this understanding, you will define problems worth solving, make trade-off decisions, and ensure that each increment contributes to a coherent and scalable product vision. Your goal is to ensure users can effortlessly see and understand exactly what's happening across their entire stack before an actual failure occurs. Here's what your journey with us will look like:
* Enhance the monitoring of technologies (OS, networking, cloud, etc.) with a specific focus on simplifying setup, discovery and analysis workflows within the UI.
* As Product Owner for your development team, own the end-to-end experience for new and reworked features, from discovery and implementation to documentation, internal enablement, and measurable adoption.
* Partner closely with our UX designers to translate complex technical requirements into cohesive product solutions that enable users to act with confidence and clarity.
* Work closely with our users to understand their mental models and ensure the product interface provides helpful, out-of-the-box insights for their specific domains.
* Serve as a subject-matter expert for both the technical depth and the frontend capabilities of the product, guiding internal teams on best practices.
* Dive deep into Checkmk to handle 3rd level support tickets jointly with our developers, guiding them when product decisions are needed
* Ensure strategic focus within your product area by actively managing and prioritizing the backlog, facilitating stakeholder alignment, and making transparent trade-off decisions to optimize value delivery.
Your profile
* Proven track record as a (Technical) Product Manager or Product Owner with a strong affinity for UX.
* A "detective" mindset for technical issues, combined with a user-centered mindset for how to solve them in the user interface.
* A solid understanding of IT infrastructure and cloud services, and the ability to bridge the gap between technical backends and intuitive frontend requirements.
* Familiarity with monitoring or DevOps software is a significant advantage, as it helps you immediately empathize with our users' technical challenges
* Strong analytical skills to break down complex backend data into meaningful user-facing information.
* Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to act as a bridge between deep-dive engineering and user-centric design (German is a plus).

Als unser:e neue:r Product Manager:in (m/w/d) übernimmst du die vollständige Verantwortung für einen definierten Produktbereich innerhalb unserer Monitoring-Plattform. Deine Aufgabe ist es, die Produktstrategie in eine klare Roadmap und einen gut priorisierten Backlog zu übersetzen, damit dein Team kontinuierlich spürbaren Mehrwert für unsere Nutzer:innen liefern kann.
Du arbeitest eng mit Engineering, UX und Domänenexpert:innen zusammen, um die technische Landschaft und die Bedürfnisse der Nutzer:innen tief zu verstehen. Auf dieser Basis definierst du Probleme, die es sich zu lösen lohnt, triffst Abwägungsentscheidungen und sorgst dafür, dass jedes Inkrement zu einer stimmigen und skalierbaren Produktvision beiträgt. Dein Ziel ist es, sicherzustellen, dass Nutzer:innen mühelos und rechtzeitig erkennen können, was in ihrer gesamten Infrastruktur passiert – bevor es zu einem tatsächlichen Ausfall kommt. Das erwartet dich bei uns:
* Du verbesserst das Monitoring von Technologien (OS, Netzwerk, Cloud usw.) mit besonderem Fokus auf die Vereinfachung von Setup-, Discovery- und Analyse-Workflows innerhalb der UI.
* Als Product Owner deines Entwicklungsteams verantwortest du das End-to-End-Erlebnis für neue und überarbeitete Features – von der Discovery und Implementierung über Dokumentation und Enablement bis hin zur messbaren Adoption.
* Du arbeitest eng mit unseren UX-Designer:innen zusammen, um komplexe technische Anforderungen in durchdachte Produktlösungen zu übersetzen, die Nutzer:innen Klarheit und Sicherheit bieten.
* Du lernst unsere Nutzer:innen kennen, verstehst ihre Denkweisen und sorgst dafür, dass die Produktoberfläche hilfreiche, direkt nutzbare Einblicke für ihre jeweiligen Domänen bietet.
* Du wirst Fachexpert:in sowohl für die technische Tiefe als auch für die Frontend-Fähigkeiten des Produkts und berätst interne Teams zu Best Practices.
* Du tauchst tief in Checkmk ein, bearbeitest gemeinsam mit unseren Entwickler:innen 3rd-Level-Support-Tickets und gibst Orientierung bei produktrelevanten Entscheidungen.
* Du stellst strategischen Fokus in deinem Produktbereich sicher, indem du aktiv den Backlog verwaltest und priorisierst, Stakeholder abstimmst und transparente Trade-offs zur Wertmaximierung triffst.
Dein Profil
* Nachweisliche Erfahrung als (Technical) Product Manager oder Product Owner mit starkem UX-Fokus.
* "Detektivisches" Denken für technische Probleme, kombiniert mit einer nutzerzentrierten Denkweise für deren Lösung in der Benutzeroberfläche.
* Solides Verständnis von IT-Infrastruktur und Cloud-Diensten sowie die Fähigkeit, technische Backend-Anforderungen in intuitive Frontend-Lösungen zu übersetzen.
* Erfahrung mit Monitoring- oder DevOps-Software ist ein klarer Vorteil, da du dich sofort in die technischen Herausforderungen unserer Nutzer:innen einfühlen kannst.
* Ausgeprägte analytische Fähigkeiten, um komplexe Backend-Daten in aussagekräftige, nutzerfreundliche Informationen zu überführen.
* Exzellente Kommunikationsfähigkeiten in Englisch, um als Brücke zwischen tiefgehendem Engineering und nutzerzentriertem Design zu fungieren (Deutsch ist ein Plus).
