This position is with a construction machinery OEM.
The job holder supports the management and top management in the development of product strategies and acts as an interface between customer requirements, R&D, and sales / marketing.
Responsibilities:
Market Research
* Market observations and competitor analyses
* Derivation of current and future needs and technical requirements, as well as opportunities/risks in global market areas
* Trade fair, customer, and construction site visits
* Presentation of results and consultation with management
* Preparation of market reports and analyses
Strategic Product Responsibility
* Developing product strategies and preparing economic feasibility studies as a basis for management decisions
* Participating in the implementation of product strategies
* Participating in pricing strategy
* Participating in the technology roadmap in coordination with R&D
* Preparing specifications
* Product lifecycle management
* Product improvement and innovation management
Market Launch and Sales Support
* Close cooperation with marketing, regional product managers, subsidiaries, sales organizations, and customers
* Supporting marketing in the creation of technical documentation (e.g. data sheets) and product presentations (e.g. brochures)
* Conducting product training for sales, marketing, and service
* Know-how transfer and support for subsidiaries and sales organizations in the market launch of new products
Professional skills
* Engineering Degree (mechanical, industrial, electrical, mechatronics); additional business management knowledge is an advantage
* Several years of experience in product management at an international mechanical engineering company
* Very good technical understanding of complex products that require explanation
* Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office Applications
