This role provides technical expertise and guidance to customers and works closely with the commercial team to promote, build and maintain business in this area.
Job Description
The Technical Service Manager oversees and manages technical projects, from initial customer inquiry to final product implementation and serves as a strong resource to the Technical Director. Key responsibilities include:
* Serving as the main technical advisor to customers, understanding their needs and delivering precise solutions
* Recommending the best products aligned with customer requirements and compliance guidelines
* Developing and sharing technical solutions and concepts requested by internal teams
This role also involves conducting training and workshops on topics like color stability, application methods, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will shape and execute a focused market strategy tailored to confectionery and bakery segments and support product innovation by identifying market trends and customer needs, collaborating closely with marketing and research teams.
Requirements
* Advanced education in food technology, food science, or a related field
* Proficiency in German and English, and solid computer skills, ideally skilled in JDE and Salesforce
* Proven experience in managing teams and application technology within the confectionery or bakery sectors
* Creative problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset
* Comfort working in both laboratory and manufacturing environments
* Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events
