OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity has opened for a senior, highly connected National Account Manager to drive expansion across key German FMCG retail channels.
This role focuses on building and scaling partnerships with major supermarket and discount chains Aldi, Lidl, Edeka, etc.), where baby and safety-related products are increasingly represented.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in opening doors, creating new business opportunities, and establishing the company within these markets, leveraging their network and deep understanding of large retail organizations.
The company is an international, mass-market brand offering practical, affordable consumer products in the baby and childcare segment, with distribution across multiple global markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and win new business with major FMCG retailers across Europe, with a focus on Germany
• Leverage existing relationships to gain access to key buyers and decision-makers
• Build and execute a clear market entry strategy for supermarket and discount channels
• Deliver accurate sales forecasts (by customer and product) and consistently meet or exceed targets
• Manage and grow key accounts, ensuring long-term commercial success
• Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures, and supply terms
• Identify growth opportunities and gaps within existing and potential clients
• Ensure strong execution across product listings, online platforms, and in-store presence
• Represent the company at key industry trade shows
PROFILE REQUIRED
Experience
• Proven success as a Senior/National Account Manager within FMCG retail, with a strong focus on supermarkets, discounters, and large retail chains
• Demonstrated ability to open doors and build business with major European retailers Aldi, Lidl, Kaufland, Edeka, etc.)
• Strong existing network of buyer contacts and deep understanding of purchasing processes within large retail organizations
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience managing and growing key retail accounts in Germany
• Experience with private label, OEM, FOB, or locally sourced products is a plus
• Solid understanding of retail dynamics, pricing pressure, and high-volume sales environments
• Experience with forecasting, reporting, and commercial planning tools (ERP, Excel, etc.)
