HarveyWaste& Recycling is looking for asafety conscious Seasonal Driver Helper to join the team at our location in Vineyard Haven, MA. The laborer position is responsible for helping the driver of a garbage truck on specified routes to manually collect solidwasteand transport it to appropriate disposal sites.
1. This position starts in May of 2025.
2. Start Time: 6:00am
Typical job duties include (but are not limited to):
3. Ride on garbage truck to assist the Driver service customers - will load refuse bags and bring containers to the truck for proper disposal.
4. Directing the truck driver when backing
5. Assisting withvehicle maintenance
6. Operate packing mechanisms and levers to activate the loading arm
7. Clean the packer blade and truck body
8. Deliver positivecustomer serviceinteractions
9. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
10. This is a very physical job working outside in all weather conditions
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
11. Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
12. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
