Our Munich‑Allach site is the global centre of excellence for locomotives and passenger cars, pioneering platform concepts and digitalization of rail vehicle manufacturing.
What do you contribute?
* You will take on a dual role: Global Head of Manufacturing for locomotives and passenger coaches, and Plant Manager of the Munich‑Allach factory.
* You will oversee the entire manufacturing value chain across Germany and India.
* You will manage the business with an entrepreneurial mindset, steering performance according to defined KPIs and contributing to the development of future KPIs.
* You will oversee international technology transfers to meet localisation requirements in new projects.
* As Site and Plant Manager, you will assume full profit and loss responsibility and manage key financial and operational metrics, including EHS, quality assurance, productivity and delivery reliability.
* You will lead and continuously improve production of our rolling stock portfolio (≈400 locomotives per year + passenger coaches).
* Implement modern management, lean, and production principles such as self‑organisation, intercultural and interdisciplinary collaboration, empowerment and OKRs to foster an innovative mindset.
* Drive productivity through ongoing process optimisation, increased automation, digitalisation and AI implementation across the value chain.
* You will strengthen cooperation with key partners (internal units, engineering, development, purchasing, customers, suppliers, works council).
* Support the transformation of the passenger coaches business from a project‑based setup into a product‑based manufacturing business in close collaboration with engineering.
What do you bring along?
* University degree (master's/diploma) in an engineering discipline.
* Long‑term professional experience in Plant Manager or Production Manager roles, with exposure to various hierarchical levels in manufacturing.
* Background in a highly automated and digitalised production environment.
* Strong knowledge of lean and value‑flow principles, continuous improvement, productivity and large‑scale customisable production based on project and small serial experience.
* Strategic understanding of customers, preferably with consulting and change‑management experience in a factory environment.
* Experience in identifying and implementing AI initiatives, automation and robotics across the manufacturing value chain.
* Very good German and English skills.
