The Account Manager, Hotels & Resorts is a key member of Virtuoso’s global team, responsible for working with Virtuoso’s global Preferred Partners in the assigned region and supporting the regional General Manager by identifying and engaging potential regional Preferred Partners. This role ensures the successful execution of the regional sales strategy set forth by the Account Director and contributes to Virtuoso’s global business objectives. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Develop and maintain strong partner relationships, focusing on achieving shared strategic goals with both global and regional Preferred Partners. Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including (but not limited to): Revenue Performance goals in marketing sales and event attendance sales. Create and maintain robust Partner Briefs for each regional account in conjunction with Global Partner Briefs. These will be housed on the CRM platform. These partner briefs will contain strategic S.M.A.R.T objectives in tandem with the Global strategy. Enter Sales Activities in CRM for global visibility (notes, emails, meetings, calls, tasks). Communicate proactively with Global Virtuoso colleagues: sharing partner feedback and intelligence to improve current programs and strengthen partner relevancy. Participate in company initiatives and on committees, communities, and other Virtuoso initiatives as assigned by the Account Director. Work with partners to implement action plans that drive growth and engagement with Virtuoso, measuring and achieving global and regional KPIs. Engagement of partners in market events. Competitor analysis and reporting – share all relevant information with the Account Director. Management of critical partner matters. Represent Virtuoso at industry trade shows, conferences & meetings as required; and solicit new supplier partners based on program needs. Create content and conduct monthly regional market update meetings for partners. Attend industry functions and events as required, which may take place outside normal business hours. Manage projects assigned to support revenue and partner growth in Partners. Work within the assigned budget to achieve strategic objectives. Revenue Performance Goals: Educate, advocate for, and train partners on relevant Virtuoso global and regional products and services to increase engagement and preferred partner penetration and sales. Collaborative and strategic business planning with partners to develop growth and profitability plans that introduce increased Virtuoso global and regional products and services, tailored to fit the partner's goals supported by: Act as primary liaison for Virtuoso partners in assigned region. Professionally represent Virtuoso’s products and services to all partners. Ensure partners are fully participating in Virtuoso marketing initiatives. Drive increased travel partner sales and engagement, including partners who may currently not be engaged with Virtuoso. Maintain and monitor the health of the existing global and regional partner portfolios. Educational and Skills Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Business, Travel & Tourism or Marketing 4-6 years related work experience including the following: Strong experience in industry Understanding of the market Experience contributing at a senior level to team performance Prior strategic account management experience and demonstrated account management success Multilingual – Fluent English required, fluent French preferred Innovation – Forward thinking, curious and creative Commercial acumen – negotiation and strategy CRM – proficiency in using company platform Marketplace Awareness – Current business trend knowledge Analytical Skills (intermediate) – Ability to collect and analyze information, problem solve, and make decisions Collaboration – Strong skills in inspiring the win-win-win Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Project management skills Excellent presentation skills Results orientated with a focus on commercial delivery Strong quality service attitude and approach Self-motivated and energetic Champion of company goals and objectives Travel Requirements: Travel is required more than 20% of the time to visit partners, and attend events, conferences, and team meetings. Travel will be primarily international. Type/Nature of Contacts: Internal: This role primarily supports the regional Account Director. Key job contacts are primarily with other Global Partner Relations team members and the General Manager in the region. External: The majority of time is spent in-market with global and regional preferred partners.
