Role Overview As Global Category Manager - IT, you will be responsible for developing and executing the global sourcing strategy for IT-related spend, including software, hardware, infrastructure, cloud services, and IT consulting. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders across regions and functions to ensure alignment with business needs, drive cost efficiencies, and foster supplier innovation. Key Responsibilities Develop and lead global category strategies for IT spend across all business units. Manage strategic supplier relationships, including contract negotiations, performance reviews, and innovation partnerships. Collaborate with IT, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to align procurement objectives with business goals. Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and supplier capabilities to inform sourcing decisions. Drive cost optimization, risk mitigation, and compliance across the IT category. Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives and support digital transformation efforts. Ensure procurement processes and policies are adhered to globally. Candidate Profile Proven experience in IT procurement or category management in a global organization. Strong understanding of IT markets, technologies, and supplier ecosystems. Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to execute complex sourcing initiatives. Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or medical devices is a plus. Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
