Therole can be based in any Brenntag location within Europe.
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare and conduct internal audit projects of Group companies end-to-end
2. Lead small audit project teams
3. Assess if processes and controls are in compliance with internal and external guidelines
4. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and make valuable recommendations to improve the overall control environment
5. Identify opportunities for improvements regarding business processes and efficiency of controls and provide recommendations to create added value for the Group
6. Present internal audit results and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
7. Support the audit plan preparation and the further development of the audit methodology
8. Develop audit programs
9. Follow up on recommendations and action plans
YOUR PROFILE
10. Degree in business administration, finance, IT or comparable qualifications or experience, ideally with a professional certification (e.g. CIA, ACCA, CPA)
11. Several years of auditing or finance-related professional experience in an international public accounting firm (preferably Big 4) or in multinational corporations
12. Practical knowledge in the application and implementation of relevant standards for auditing in a complex international environment and ideally in a matrix organization
13. Strong analytical skills, combined with excellent communication and presentation skills
14. Experience in international project management
15. High motivation for independent project work and solution-oriented thinking
16. Open to travel internationally (approx. 20%)
17. Fluent in English, preferably other language skills
18. Experience in the distribution or chemical industry would be an advantage
