Werkleiter (m/w/d) Location: NRW, Germany Industry: Automotive Manufacturing Overview We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Werkleiter (Plant Manager) to lead and further develop a high-performing production site within a dynamic automotive environment. This role carries full responsibility for plant operations, performance, and strategic development, ensuring operational excellence, efficiency, and sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities Overall site leadership with full P&L responsibility for the plant Drive operational excellence across production, logistics, quality, engineering, and maintenance Implement and continuously improve Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement (CIP) initiatives Ensure achievement of KPIs including productivity, quality, delivery, and cost targets Lead and develop a cross-functional leadership team, fostering a high-performance culture Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization measures Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders on strategy, investments, and innovation projects Drive transformation and change management initiatives, particularly in complex and evolving environments Your Profile Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field 10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive or industrial highly preferred) Proven track record in plant management or senior operations leadership roles Strong experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence methodologies Demonstrated ability to manage complex production sites and large teams Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on leadership style Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in an international environment Fluent in German and English If this opportunity has sparked your interest, we would welcome your application or the chance to speak with you further.
