Aptar is seeking a Project Manager for the Food Marked, based in based in Freyung or any other Aptar Closures location in EMEA, who will be responsible for managing key projects within the Food market.
The Project Manager is responsible for proactively managing key projects within the Food market, delivering on agreed-upon project commitment while fostering a strong teamwork in a goal-driven environment. This individual possesses a strong background with successful project launches and the skills to manage both stock and custom programs.
The Project Manager needs to have a strong business acumen to identify key business drivers (cost models, CAPEX, ROI) and facilitate active risk management activities to ensure the overall effectiveness and success of projects.
As a Project Manager you will:
1. Lead project teams to identify goals, set plans, and successfully execute project activities on time and on budget.
2. Ensure that projects result in products which meet Customer, Marketing and Aptar's requirements using personal skills and industry knowledge.
3. Ensure that the specific needs and constraints of the Aptar's Operations group are effectively addressed during project execution.
4. Serves as a vital and effective communication link between Customers and project teams
5. Independently interfaces effectively with Customers, Suppliers, and Aptar's Operations group on team, project, and technical matters.
6. Ability to drive problem solving activities to deliver unique solutions to project, vendor, and customer challenges.
7. Collaborate with Marketing, Customers, Suppliers, and other relevant sources to identify research, develop and apply new technology to products and processes.
8. Strong relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem solving, Continuous Improvement and change management skills.
9. Drive, support and adhere to all system procedures and Company policies / procedures.
10. Drive APPM process methodology, Project Management in Planisware, and accurate and timely data inputs and reporting.
What you will bring on the journey
Education:
11. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Plastics, Mechanical or technical area of expertise).
12. Master's Degree in Engineering or Business-related studies preferred.
Experience:
13. At least 5 years working experience in packaging systems. Ideally with focus on the Food industry
14. 5 years in Project Management of projects including New Product Development
15. Experience interfacing directly with customers.
Skills/ Competencies:
16. Ability to develop relationships across all levels of the organization, as well as externally.
17. Demonstrated leadership skills in scoping, driving, and managing projects using systematic methodologies and processes.
18. Demonstrated oral and written/technical document creation and presentation skills.
19. Experience in injection molding, automation, robotics, and/or inspection equipment and processes for the manufacturing of consumer-packaged goods products.
20. Ability to travel internationally.
21. Fluent in English, Spanish/German desirable.
