Description and Requirements
Role Objective
Responsibility for the strategic expansion and sustainable development of customer relationships in the public sector (federal authorities), with a focus on workplace solutions. The role combines account management, tender management, and technical solution consulting.
Responsibilities
1. Strategic management and further development of defined public sector accounts at the federal level
2. Development and implementation of holistic account plans, including responsibility for revenue, margin, and pipeline
3. Positioning the full Lenovo workplace portfolio (notebooks, desktops, workstations, peripherals, services, etc.)
4. Managing the bid process in close collaboration with bid management, technical teams, partners, and internal stakeholders
5. Ensuring formal, technical, and commercial compliance of proposals
6. Analysis of specifications and mandatory/optional requirements
7. Advising on system architectures and configurations within the workplace environment
8. Monitoring market, technology, and customer developments in the public sector
9. Comparing and differentiating from competitors in the workplace segment
10. Articulating technical and commercial value propositions during tender and decision processes
11. Maintaining accurate forecasts, pipeline, and opportunity data in the CRM system
Requirements
12. Degree in IT, Business Administration, or a comparable field, or an equivalent qualification
13. Several years of experience in B2B sales in the IT environment, ideally in the public sector
14. Experience with public tenders and procurement procedures is an advantage
15. Strong technical understanding of workplace/client hardware
16. Very good German and good English skills (written and spoken)
