As a Production Engineer (f/m/d), you will make a key contribution to the successful industrialization and sustainable competitiveness of our products: You will be responsible for the industrialization and continuous optimization of highly complex opto-electronic products within a product family. Your goal is to ensure a stable, efficient and high-quality production process over the entire product life cycle.
In addition, you will make a significant contribution to the transfer of development projects to series production and the introduction of new technologies – in close cooperation with international development, production and partner teams.
What You'll do
1. Industrialization of products and ensuring a smooth transition from development to serial production
2. Participation in international development projects with a focus on Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and production readiness
3. Introduction, validation, and implementation of new technologies and processes in production
4. Analysis and resolution of production and integration issues in the areas of optics, electronics, and mechanics (moderate scope, medium complexity); escalation when necessary
5. Continuous process improvement with regard to yield/output, quality, cost, and stability
6. Taking over product responsibility (“Product Care”) for defined products throughout the entire product lifecycle
7. Close collaboration with internal interfaces (R&D, Production, Quality), global engineering, as well as external partners and suppliers
8. Support in failure analysis, root-cause identification, and sustainable problem resolution (troubleshooting)
9. Planning and delivery of employee trainings
What You’ll Bring
10. Degree in engineering (. optics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or physics) or a comparable qualification
11. Several years of experience in production engineering, industrialization, or a comparable technical environment
12. Experience in introducing new technologies and transferring development projects into serial production
13. Knowledge of optoelectronic manufacturing or high-precision assembly processes is an advantage
14. Familiarity with DFM/DFA and production readiness concepts
15. Proficiency in common tools and systems (. ERP systems, Jira, MS Office)
16. Experience working in international and cross-functional teams
17. Very good English skills, both written and spoken (at least B2), German at least good speaking skills (at least B1)
