Your tasks
10. Development and implementation of a global purchasing and category strategy for the IT sector – including software, hardware, IT services, cloud solutions and digital solutions.
11. Conducting market and technology analyses to identify suitable suppliers, assess their performance, and drive competitive sourcing decisions.
12. Active management of negotiations, price discussions, contract conclusions and award decisions for global IT suppliers.
13. Close collaboration with internal stakeholders – such as IT, Digital Transformation, Cybersecurity, Finance and Legal – to capture business requirements.
14. Management of relationships with global IT suppliers and continuous monitoring of supplier performance with regard to costs, quality, service levels, compliance and innovation.
15. Identification and implementation of cost and efficiency initiatives, e.g. through supplier consolidation, license optimization, standardization and sourcing strategies.
16. Ensuring compliance with internal purchasing guidelines, IT security requirements, data protection regulations and contractual standards.
17. Continuous information about market trends, best practices and technological developments in the IT environment.
Your profile
18. Academic degree in business informatics, information technology, industrial engineering, business administration or a comparable qualification.
19. Professional experience in strategic purchasing or category management, preferably in IT or technology-related categories.
20. Strong skills in contract management and negotiations, especially in complex IT and service contracts.
21. Excellent skills in communication, stakeholder management and category leadership in an international environment.
22. Outstanding analytical and commercial skills, combined with a pragmatic and results-oriented mindset.
23. Language skills: Fluent in English and German.
