We are looking for an experienced test manager who will take responsibility for planning, executing and managing product tests for industrial controllers or control systems. In this role, you will provide technical guidance to an international test team, collaborate across departments and ensure that we deliver reliable, high-quality products.
Your job:
1. Responsibility for the testing process and product testing for our industrial control systems or control systems that also meet functional safety requirements
2. Technical management of an international team of test analysts and testers, as well as promotion of a culture of cooperation and responsibility within the team
3. Developing and implementing the test strategy, creating and monitoring detailed test plans (including associated time and resource plans) and controlling the entire test cycle from preparation to completion, also in the context of functional safety
4. Ensuring our high quality standards in all our tests and the continuous improvement of test processes and methods
5. Communicating with relevant stakeholders regarding progress, results and challenges of the tests for which you are responsible
6. Cross-functional collaboration with project managers, developers, product and quality managers and other test teams
7. Improvements in test execution and test processes
Your qualification:
8. Degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable field
9. Extensive experience in testing electrical automation products or in a related technical field, ideally in control systems (e.g. industrial PCs, control systems for electric motors), including functional safety requirements, e.g. according to IEC and EN ISO or similar
10. Experience in leading international project teams and experience in risk management
11. Expertise in embedded systems and test tools, black box tests and regression tests, etc.
12. Know-how in handling products such as microcontrollers, sensors, actuators and knowledge of (secure) industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/FSoE, PROFINET/PROFIsafe, etc.
13. Good knowledge of product approval with cyber security aspects
14. ISTQB certification at foundation level and ideally also ISTQB certification at test manager level
15. Good written and spoken German and English
16. Methodical, structured way of working, strong communication and conflict resolution skills, and ability to motivate and guide a team
