Industrial Designer, Road and Gravel Bikes

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
1. Closely collaborate and co-create with the industrial design team, ride dynamics, design engineering, product managers and owners, to deliver compelling design solutions for all bikes across the Gravel category.
2. Adhere and contribute to the evolution of the product design language across the bike line.
3. Edit and refine products throughout the creation, development, and production process to achieve brand objectives.
4. Create and maintain clear design documentation.
5. Create handmade, computer generated and/or other prototypes that visually communicate and articulate your design inspiration, concept, and intent.
6. Demonstrate strong collaborative approach welcomes feedback.
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
7. 5+ years of experience in product development and/or Industrial Design
8. A strong portfolio with specific examples of high-quality design work
9. Deep understanding of Gravel biking and the culture of Gravel biking
10. Display and prove Specialized core competencies including curiosity, humility, team-focus, passion, collaboration and ownership.
11. Industrial Design model shop skills: ability to quickly mock-up concepts via prototypes, hand sketches, and high-quality finished appearance models.
12. Proficiency with 2d & 3d rendering software to quickly create photo realistic imagery (Photoshop, Illustrator, Keyshot, etc.)
13. Proficiency with 3D CAD & advanced surface modeling software; PTC Creo / ISDX or similar.
14. Exceptional visual communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate your design POV.
15. Ability to hit stringent deadlines while managing multiple projects.
16. Ability to travel internationally.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
17. Experience within bicycle industry.
18. BFA or BSID from accredited Industrial Design program.
