Our client is seeking a strategic production leader to manage and develop site-wide vaccine manufacturing operations while driving performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Your objectives:
As the Director of Production, you will be measured against the following objectives:
1. Deliver safe, compliant vaccine manufacturing operations in full alignment with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and regulatory requirements.
2. Drive measurable improvements across productivity, quality, and cost Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through operational excellence and digitalisation initiatives.
3. Build and develop a high-performing production leadership team that fosters accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What you will do:
As the Director of Production, your duties and responsibilities will include:
· Directly lead and develop Process Team Leaders, strengthening leadership capability and team performance across vaccine production.
· Act as a key member of the site leadership team, contributing to and executing the overall production strategy.
· Ensure full compliance with GMP and all applicable regulatory standards across manufacturing operations.
· Lead capacity and resource planning activities to optimise output, efficiency, and cost control.
· Oversee batch documentation review and approval, maintaining accountability for manufacturing instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Initiate and implement continuous improvement and digitalisation projects to enhance operational performance.
· Serve as a trusted partner to cross-functional stakeholders including Quality and Engineering.
What you will bring:
These are the skills and experience you will need to succeed as the Director of Production:
· Minimum 7 years of leadership experience within pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing, including direct management of other leaders.
· Strong expertise in vaccine production within a regulated Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
· Demonstrated success delivering operational excellence and change management initiatives in complex manufacturing settings.
· Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
· Outstanding leadership capability, with a strategic mindset and passion for developing people.
· Master of Science (MSc) or equivalent in biology, bioprocess engineering, chemistry, pharmacy, engineering sciences, or a related discipline.
· Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
