Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
We are looking for a
Sales Manager Carrier Networks Germany (m/f/d)
Location:
Home office/fully remote position. Working from Berlin office or Hagen office is possible.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and grow sales with direct accounts and channel partners to increase Corning’s passive optical footprint in Germany to support long-term, sustainable growth.
2. Develop and execute sales strategies and achieve individual revenue targets.
3. Responsible to manage the sales pipeline, provide respective forecast data and other reports.
4. Provide market intelligence and “voice of customer” input to other functional departments.
5. Support regional marketing and market-communication events.
6. Ensure adherence to Corning’s business processes and all other relevant policies and regulations.
7. Support Sales Management in all specifically assigned tasks and duties.
Requirements:

10. Good presentation-, communication-, management- and negotiation skills
11. Relationship-oriented and result-driven
12. Ability to work effectively in a remote environment (home office)
13. Should have a technical background, a telecommunication background is an advantage.
14. Solid technical- and business acumen with the ability to present and sell solutions in a business context.
15. “Hands-on” technical capabilities experience is an advantage.
16. Ability to interface with C-Level executives, management, and technical decision-makers.
17. Native German speaker (or bilingual) and fluent in English. Other languages are an advantage.
18. Ability to travel nationally / internationally (up to 40%).
19. Strong demonstrable ability to work independently and deliver outputs without close supervision.
