We are partnering with a global leader in innovative packaging solutions to recruit a driven and commercially astute Area Sales Manager. This is a high-impact, growth-oriented role focused on expanding market presence across the Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA) region, with a strong emphasis on shrink sleeve and film packaging.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the regional sales strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and building long-term customer relationships in high-growth markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive New Business Development (80%): Identify, engage, and convert new customers across the EEMEA region, with a strong focus on strategic market penetration and revenue growth.
* Territory Ownership: Take full ownership of your sales territory, with the autonomy to shape go-to-market strategies and prioritise high-potential segments.
* Regional Sales Strategy: Develop and implement tailored sales plans, forecasts, and KPIs aligned with broader business objectives.
* Client Engagement: Conduct regular in-person visits and virtual meetings with prospects and existing clients to understand needs, present solutions, and close deals.
* Agent Management: Oversee and support regional sales agents, ensuring alignment with company goals and consistent performance.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
* Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions and identify new opportunities.
* Reporting & CRM: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and customer interactions using SAP R/3 and CRM tools.
Candidate Profile
* Experience: 3-5+ years of B2B sales experience in shrink packaging
* Languages: English required, German, Spanish, Italian, French desirable
* Sales Mindset: A proactive, self-motivated "hunter" with a strong track record of acquiring new business and exceeding sales targets.
* Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse market data, customer needs, and sales performance to drive continuous improvement.
* Tech Proficiency: Comfortable using SAP R/3, Microsoft Office Suite, and modern CRM systems to manage sales processes and reporting.
* Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
