Hauptaufgaben
Serves as Senior Production Controller receiving project assignments and guidance from the Supervisor but working independently. In conjunction with the technical skills and mission responsibility or workcenter(s), establishes maintenance workload and schedules programs, based on regulatory requirements, priority, man-hours and parts available. Analyzes a variety of routine production data and processes to include the following: Plans, coordinates and evaluates logistic actions required to support a designated maintenance programs and tasks and conducts maintenance management studies pertaining to long, short term and special programs. Determines full resource requirements (funding, manpower, material, parts and services) Analyses maintenance requirements and programs in terms of equipment, testing capabilities, facilities, and expense. Correlates requirements with production plans to assure that the needed support is provided at the right time and place by reviewing the monthly production reports for jobs completed, and taking into consideration all other reports prepared by the individual workcenters. The incumbent is responsible for making recommendations that will help enable to achieve an operational readiness status.
Maintenance Program Planning and Scheduling: Schedules repairs based upon analysis of the mission, unit requirement, workload depth and breadth, work requests, and special demands. Provides input and monitors operations and functions required for the successful accomplishment of the mission in regards to production schedules and quality of the accomplished/ongoing maintenance programs to meet command requirements. Plans and implements work requirements to accomplish assigned mission and functions in a timely manner in accordance with overall policies and procedures established by supervisor, higher headquarters, or current regulations. Based on priority of work, workload, and resource availability (manpower, machinery/tools, infrastructure, parts and material) determines flow of equipment for repair). Adjusts plans and methods as necessary to accomplish the work as effectively and economically as possible. Determining equipment, supplies, and personnel needed for individual project. Plans long-range work schedule and sets priorities for accomplishment of work.
Maintenance production control: Making full and expert use of the Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-Army) keeps in touch with status of work in progress and makes day-to-day adjustments as necessary to deal with problems which may arise such as backlogs which cannot be disposed of promptly. Develops and recommends specific actions to accomplish objectives. Provides assistance to the maintenance workcenter and sections in performing follow-ups on open requisitions for repair parts, which are potential line stoppers. Develops information for procurement of material, support equipment, and local manufacture of items. Incumbent conducts researches to resolve problems, or discrepancies, referring unsolved problems, or discrepancies, to supervisor. Participates in conferences and meetings with higher-level staff agencies when new procedures or changes to current procedures and missions are discussed. Tracks maintenance/production of repair assets. Insures inspection and parts requirements are accomplished expeditiously within a required timeframe. Monitors production reports to ensure jobs are initiated, completed, and documented, and returned to using section/customers within established goals and objectives. Monitors maintenance and supply input and output of the automated maintenance systems. Identifies and resolves internal functional problems; recommends action to correct deficiencies or to make improvements within the overall production control system.
Analysis: Develops and prepares briefings on operational related matters for the supervisor and senior leadership and higher headquarters, when required. Investigates and reconciles routine and non-routine, recurring problems and discrepancies. Prepares reports on a weekly and monthly basis for interested parties. Performs production analysis functions in evaluating statistical data. Incumbent interprets and reviews maintenance regulations and directives from higher headquarters and determines the impact on the operation. Recommends/writes implementation instructions and standing operating procedures assuring compliance and advises subordinates on deviations from the norm and recommends, or initiates, corrective actions to improve operational efficiency.

E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 2 years of experience as defined in B below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II: 1 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 2 years of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level III: 1 year of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level IV: No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
KH-06
E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 3 years of experience as defined in B below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II: 1 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 3 years of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level III: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level IV: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level V: No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled. The amount of the higher level experience must be in a reasonable relation to the required total number of years.
• German driver's license class B desired.
• Office automation skills are required.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
English Language Proficiency level C1 AND German Language Proficiency level C1 required.

This is a permanent full-time position (38.5 hrs./week).
• Position may be filled at the KH-05 or at the full performance level, KH-06. The incumbent may be non-competitively promoted to the next higher or full performance level in accordance with regulatory requirements, upon completion of required training, and recommendation of supervisor.
• If requirement exists, the incumbent of this position is obligated to perform TDY within and outside Germany, shift work, weekend and holiday work.
• On-Call duty required.
