KG Organization Gas Services Business Unit Central Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As a Proposal Project Manager (f/m/d) in our dynamic Power Plant business, you will technically direct, lead and motivate a multi-functional, global bid team to deliver successfully high quality, competitive and innovative bids for a variety of projects.In this role, you will be responsible for the project objectives, including optimized bid concepts, cost calculations, risk management, scheduling, documentation, and budget allocation, ensuring quality and efficiency. Being a generalist, you will track progress, coordinate, and collaborate closely with various disciplines involved in the process as well as interact with customers, partners, and contractors, lead technical negotiations, and report to the management.With this you will contribute significantly to the overall success of Siemens Energy! 4. Lead a multi-functional bid team including team members across different countries and organizational units ensuring motivation and a high-performance culture
5. Define the bid strategy in collaboration with Sales and other disciplines for gas turbine-based power plants; and shape major projects with substantial societal and economic influence, witnessing their significant contribution to the success of the company
6. Track progress, coordinate, and collaborate closely with various departments involved in the process, including Engineering, Sales, Service, Projects, Order Management, Quality, Finance, Legal and Contract Management
7. Closely interact with customers, partners and contractors and identify the technical requirements, develop competitive bid concepts, manage expectations, and lead technical negotiations
8. Engage in a variety of projects and develop solutions to complex technical challenges together with your team
9. Review and release the technical bid documentation, cost calculations, risk management and related mitigation measures
10. Actively support the overall improvement process to increase the quality and efficiency in Proposal Management
What You Bring
11. Successfully completed university degree in Engineering (Plant Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar)
12. Several years of experience, ideally in Power and Energy Business, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and/or Service
13. First project management experience and first experience in leading (interdisciplinary) teams
14. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders on all levels of the organization and in a distributed team combined with the willingness to engage also in topics beyond your main expertise area such as legal and commercial aspects of the contract preparation
15. Strategic critical thinking skills, open mindset, adaptability, flexibility, willingness to constantly learn new things and improve, and find new solutions to unique challenges of the projects, pragmatic and out of the box thinking
16. Strong work ethics with the ability to handle different projects at the same time and to prioritize, and to work under pressure with high quality and adherence to deadlines
17. Fluent English, German desirable; intercultural openness and willingness for occasional worldwide traveling
