As an engineering manager, you’ll mentor and grow a high-performing engineering team, drive the delivery of cutting-edge features across robotics and applications, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to shape the future of human-robot collaboration while helping us scale internationally in one of the most exciting tech sectors.
* Define Software Products
You will take ownership of defining the key features and requirements of our software for mobile robots—driven by customer needs, market insights, field feedback, and technical feasibility—to create a strong product-market fit.
* Collaborate with Developers
You will be working closely with our development teams and our CEO, you'll align on technical requirements and ensure that the best possible solutions are implemented to serve our users effectively.
* Drive Technical Planning
You'll define technical milestones and translate them into clear specifications and product features. This involves ongoing coordination with our engineering teams to guarantee a smooth and successful development process.
* Own the Roadmap
You will create and manage the product timeline and ensure timely delivery. From planning to execution, you’ll keep everything on track and aligned with our goals. You’ll prioritize backlogs, and lead sprint planning to drive rapid iterations and continuous improvement.
Your profile
* Industry Experience
You have at least 5 years of experience in agile product management for industrial products and/or software products.
* Sharp Technical & Business Mindset
You combine deep technical understanding with strong critical thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset.
* Clear Communicator
You're skilled at presenting results and complex ideas clearly and effectively to executives and stakeholders.
* Independent & Structured Work Style
You work in a self-reliant, structured, and goal-oriented way—taking ownership from concept to delivery.
* Tools & Methods
You’re experienced with tools like Jira and Confluence, and modern agile product management practices.
Bonus Points
* Familiarity with robotics, robotics software or embedded systems.
* Experience in the robotics, automation, or logistics industry.
* Fluency in German.

In 2020, NODE Robotics spinned off from Fraunhofer IPA, Europe’s largest institute for applied research and real powerhouse of robotics, taking some of their brightest developers with them.
With the help of venture capital investors, we started growing the company with a hand-picked team of specialists, aligning with the NODE core values: collaborative improvement, learning experts, customer empathy and output excellence.
