Description and Requirements
We are looking for a Local Account Manager (LAM) in the Global Account space who will take over responsibility for a defined customer set of Global accounts in Germany & Austria.
The work location is restricted to the German headquarter - in Stuttgart.
The successful candidate will focus on building and developing existing customer relationships through a solution-oriented sales approach. They should confidently present topics ranging from product portfolio strengths to total cost of ownership, aiming to maximize customer value.
Key requirements include an entrepreneurial mindset that is imaginative, smart, passionate, and approachable. The role involves managing daily challenges such as creating tailored configurations for individual customer needs, handling pricing, monitoring orders and supply, maintaining customized portfolios, and overseeing Customer Relationship Management and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
1. Manages the local/regional PC and Smart Devices Business (Intelligent Device Group) together with a team of Global Sales professionals and focus on all ONE LENOVO business opportunities for all Lenovo products, closing the sales opportunities
2. Works together with Global Account Managers (GAM) and Regional Account Managers (RAM) to execute global account strategy on a local level including identification of local opportunities, assist with quarterly sales campaigning within the own account set
3. Understands the customers governance and adapt this in the strategy (local decisions / RFPs vs executing HQ strategy). For some projects, you are responsible for product selection, configuration and proposals to local subsidiaries.
4. Responsible for local / regional demand planning, outlook forecast planning and taking care of the reporting in appropriate tools (effectively manage sales opportunities)
5. Focuses on day-to-day account management in driving account revenue and profit by proactive back and front office support duties
6. Liaises with sales support teams, resolves customer issues and escalates sales issues effectively to sales team and management
7. Close teaming with Business Partner's and Lenovo Dealer Account Manager’s for day-to-day opportunity identification, order management and escalation to order desk
Requirements:
8. Sales experience is required, preferably in the IT industry
9. Good Technical IT product knowledge
10. Good knowledge of Project Management
11. Excellent German and English verbal and written communication and presentation skills
12. Strong personality, high level of flexibility & self-reliance with strong focus on achieving challenging performance goals
