This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager to take a leading role in driving quality strategy and “right first time” delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects.
The Role
As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for leading and implementing quality assurance and quality control initiatives across multiple construction projects.
You will play a key role in embedding robust quality systems and processes across the full project lifecycle — from design and procurement through to delivery — ensuring compliance, consistency, and high standards of execution.
This is a strategic and hands-on role, requiring the ability to balance quality objectives with commercial and programme demands while working closely with multidisciplinary teams, supply chain partners, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and delivery of project quality strategies across live projects
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, building regulations, and quality management systems (including ISO9001)
* Develop and implement quality assurance processes to prevent defects and ensure “right first time” delivery
* Establish and manage quality control processes including Inspection & Test Plans, quality sign-offs, and hold points
* Conduct inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure adherence to project specifications
* Review and approve supplier and contractor quality plans
* Manage relationships with supply chain partners to ensure quality of materials and workmanship
* Maintain accurate quality documentation and provide regular reporting to stakeholders
* Identify and mitigate quality-related risks across the project lifecycle
* Lead root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Deliver training and promote quality awareness across project teams
* Support successful project handover, ensuring all quality documentation is complete
About You
* Degree qualified in Construction Management, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline
* Proven experience in a quality-focused role within the construction or built environment sector
* Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and quality management systems
* Experience implementing QA/QC processes across complex construction projects
* Familiarity with ISO9001 and quality auditing processes
* Strong understanding of project lifecycles and construction methodologies
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capability
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
Desirable
* Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. CQI / Chartered Quality Professional)
* Experience with ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards
* Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives
* Experience influencing cultural change and embedding quality-first behaviours
