Your mission

We in Etops are a very intensely cooperating team where every single person takes a complex responsibility for a client and/or projects from A-Z. As the Senior Sales Manager you are the #1 pure-play hunter in the Asset Management business line at Etops, our innovative SaaS platform for WealthTech. Your sole mission is to win large, strategic institutional clients and to open prestigious new logos that serve as reference clients for our solutions in portfolio management. This is a high-profile role designed for an elite institutional salesperson who thrives on closing complex SaaS deals in the financial services ecosystem .


Your role and responsibility

In this position you will be responsible for:

1. New Business Development & Pipeline Generation

* Prospect and qualify high-value institutional leads through targeted outreach, industry events, and leveraging your network in asset/wealth management.
* Build and manage a robust sales pipeline
* Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to tailor demos and POCs that showcase ROI in efficiency, compliance, and client outcomes.

2. Deal Hunting & Closing

* Lead the full sales cycle for enterprise deals: from initial discovery calls to negotiating contracts with legal/procurement teams.
* Personally drive the largest opportunities, using consultative selling to position Etops as the scalable SaaS partner for end-to-end digital transformation in asset management.
* Achieve quarterly and annual quotas for new logos, expansions within the business line asset management.

3. Relationship Building & Thought Leadership

* Cultivate C-level relationships with decision-makers
* Represent Etops at key industry conferences, webinars, and roundtables to generate leads and establish credibility in WealthTech innovations.
* Provide market feedback to the Head of Asset Management to refine our SaaS roadmap, ensuring alignment with institutional needs like genAI integrations and API extensibility.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Work closely with the Head of Asset Management to align on strategy and resource needs; support the broader team in handover to account management post-close.
* Ensure seamless integration with group-wide sales processes, CRM discipline, and forecasting standards as defined by Sales Operations.
* Partner with the Wealth Management and IFA business lines for potential cross-sell opportunities without internal overlap.

5. Performance Metrics & Reporting

* Track and report on key sales KPIs (win rates, sales velocity, pipeline coverage) via CRM, contributing to executive reporting for the CRO and Group Executive Board.
* Maintain impeccable data hygiene in all opportunities to support accurate forecasting and process adherence.


Your experience and profile

We are looking for:

* 8–15 years of quota-carrying sales experience in SaaS/WealthTech/FinTech, with a proven track record in institutional asset/wealth management sales.
* Demonstrable success closing €100k+ ARR deals; history of exceeding quotas by 120%+ in B2B financial services environments.
* Deep network and credibility among institutional buyers (funds, insurers) in Europe, particularly DACH/Benelux.
* Strong understanding of asset management challenges and how SaaS solves them.
* Excellent discovery and negotiation skills
* Bachelor's degree (business/finance preferred); certifications like CFA or AWS Sales a plus.
* Fluent in English + German
