Responsibilities:
1. Collaboration in the development of new electrolytes for the galvanic and chemical treatment of surfaces in our research laboratory. This includes, for example, galvanic processes for decorative coating with chromium, nickel or copper processes
2. Planning of test series and their implementation on a laboratory scale, if necessary with methods of statistical test planning
3. Analysis of electrolytes as well as chemical and physical characterization of the deposited layers (layer thickness, layer composition, corrosion resistance, brightness, gloss etc.)
4. Transfer of the new processes to the pilot plant scale
Qualifications:
5. Study of chemical engineering, process engineering, chemistry, materials science or related fields with reference to surface technology
6. Interest in topics related to electroplated coatings
7. Experience in basic laboratory operations (pipetting, titration, mixing, etc.)
8. Good computer skills (MS-Office)
9. Independent working style and analytical skills
10. Initiative, ability to work in a team and creativity
11. The internship / thesis is a compulsory part of your studies and you are available for a period of at least 5 months, or longer if you wish.
