Reporting to the Site Facility Manager, this is a newly created position for an experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of building automation across a large, technically complex semiconductor site in Germany.
This role has been created to introduce clear responsibility and long‑term ownership of building automation, an area that is becoming increasingly critical as the site continues to evolve. Until now, responsibility has been shared across several functions; this hire will change that.

Acting as the technical and project lead for building automation initiatives

Supporting knowledge transfer and succession planning within the team
Establishing structure, standards and long‑term strategy for building automation
What you’ll bring
Experience in building automation / building control technology
Hands‑on experience delivering automation projects on complex or large‑scale sites
Ability to operate independently and take ownership, particularly in the first year
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
German language skills are essential; English is beneficial
Site‑based role with limited home office flexibility due to the hands‑on nature of the work
40‑hour contract (35 hours possible on a pro‑rata basis)
Salary up to €90,000
Benefits include subsidised lunches, bicycle scheme, English lessons during working hours, monthly wellness initiatives, and regular team and family events
If you are motivated by ownership, long‑term impact, and the opportunity to shape and lead building automation within a highly technical environment, this role offers a rare opportunity to do exactly that.
