To strengthen our Supply Chain team, we are looking for a professional and dedicated Strategic Buyer (m/f/d) to optimize our international procurement processes and develop forward-thinking purchasing strategies. The position is located in Frankfurt am Main, on the 24th floor of the iconic Messeturm, offering a modern and inspiring workspace with breathtaking views.
The Role/Responsibilities:
* Define and execute direct and indirect procurement strategy, optimizing global procurement costs and processes
* Conduct detailed analyses of market trends, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with international suppliers; lead contract negotiations and ensure optimal terms
* Work closely with production, quality assurance, logistics, and other teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations
* Identify potential supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
* Represent Sirio at international trade fairs and industry events to expand supplier networks and identify new partners
Profile/Requirements:
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
* 3–5 years of purchasing or strategic sourcing experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally from the food and beverage industry
* Solid understanding of negotiation techniques, contract law, and supplier management
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of processes in manufacturing processes and business frameworks
* Preferably some experience in packaging procurement
* Analytical thinker, proactive, solution-oriented, with strong communication and collaboration skills
* Excellent command of English (written and spoken); German or additional European languages are an advantage
* Willingness to travel within Europe and occasionally to Asia
* Professional demeanour with integrity, reliability, and a strong customer focus
